Science is key to understanding the world around us. At St Bridget’s C of E School, we aim to build children’s knowledge and curiosity of the natural world and technology around us, while developing their ability to work scientifically, analyse data and predict outcomes.
At St Bridget’s, we use the National Curriculum for Computing (2014) as a basis for our curriculum to ensure complete coverage and skills progression throughout Key Stage 1 and 2. Repeated topics, such as plants, build on prior knowledge to ensure that children’s skills and knowledge are developed at an appropriate pace. We are committed to ensuring that all pupils achieve the at least the expected standard by the end of Key Stage 2.
